Dear Fellow Teacher

Dear fellow teacher,

May you know your worth.

May you find a tribe of teachers that love you and encourage you daily.

May you even on your worst days full of disrespect, meetings, paperwork, and referrals, remember that this is your calling.

May you feel safe in those four walls with those children you call “yours.”

May you know at the end of the day, you are enough, no matter how much you have to do or how many papers you have left to grade.

May you still love yourself on the days you are too busy loving everyone else.

May you learn to learn more than you learn to teach.

May you love all the days in the classroom: the good, the bad, and the ugly because they all make you the teacher you are.

May you never forget that you are going to make a difference no matter what you do. May it be the most positive influence possible.

May you reach the unreachable and love the unlovable.

Exhausted, loving, hard-working teacher,

May you know your worth.
